I had a great weekend. It was nice to be active during a “date” instead of just sitting around and eating. Let me just saying walking around the Mall of America is tiring.
I thought I would get back to listing my workouts for the weeks. Just to be accountable. I was not able to get all my workouts in last week. So I think I need something to make me accountable. Anywho.
Monday: Biggest Loser Yoga
Wednesday: 3 miles
Thursday: 3 miles
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 10k race @ the Twin Cities Marathon:] I really want to get 10 miles in preparation for my half. So I am thinking about doing 2 miles before and 2 miles after to equal 10.2.
There it is my plan for the week. I full plan on accomplishing all of it. Only 4 more weeks until the half. Eeek.
I have been hanging on and training to follow my plan for the week.
Yesterday I did my weight loss Yoga with Mr. Bob Harper. It was a nice little work out.
This morning I set out to do 3 miles. It was storming this morning so I tried to do it on the treadmill. Let me tell you it was rough. I am not sure what it was. My treadmill is in the basement. So when I use it I have to run staring at a cement wall. I think if I plan on running on it over the winter I am gonna need some sort of television down there. I only made it 1.5 miles. I ran on it all last winter but ever since I started running outside it is just not the same. I will work something out or just run in the cold.
I am gonna try to do 1.5 miles tomorrow plus some Yoga thrown in there.
I had a great Power Yoga workout last night. I used “Crunch Yoga” it was on Netflix watch instantly. It was my first time using that video. I will use it again. It is nice to have more Yoga options in the mix.
According to my plan for the week I was supposed to do another Yoga session tonight. But I think I am going to switch my rest day from Friday to today. I worked eleven hours at the Day Care today and my legs just feel weary. I know these are excuses but I am not canceling my workout I am just moving it :] Anyway, I think rest will do my body well at this point.
There is not much to report on the eating front. It has been on track. So that is that.
I am looking forward to my three mile run tomorrow. It does the body good. Hopefully the weather will be nice so I can do this thing outside. :]
I had a pretty uneventful day but that can be a good thing. I did not get my 2 mile run in but I did my Yoga and went for 1.25 mile with my man.
I thought it was about time to try something different for breakfast after eating the same thing for the past 6 months. So I got some Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. They were good but they did not keep me full like my oatmeal and peanut butter does. Not to mention the oatmeal is better for me. So I will probably finish off the sandwiches but I will not buy them again. I think I will try some Kashi cereal next time and see if that will do the trick. I just need something to switch it up.
I did not bring enough food to work today so I started to eat out of the candy drawer to stop the hunger pains. I will plan better tomorrow. I need to remember to pack more. It is always better to have more than enough healthy food then to go over to the vending machine.
I hope everyone had a good Wednesday! Half-way thru the week :]
Tuesday: Rest Day
Wednesday: 3 Miles
Thursday: 2 Miles and Yoga
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 4.5 Miles
I was originally gonna run the 2 miles tonight but my allergies are giving me a run for my money. So I switched that run to Thursday and am gonna do Yoga tonight. I have started taking my allergy medicine so hopefully once that gets in my system I will feel better. I am determined to get all my runs in this week even if I have to switch things around.
One more month til my 10k!
Today I got back on the wagon. I was able to put my focus back onto my health and eating right. I did a 40 minute Yoga Session and it felt really good. This is how I ate:
It feels good to have my eating back on track.
On a side note my brother-in-law and father-in-law went back to their house and I am really enjoying the fact that the Hubs and I have the house to ourselves again. I am sure they will be back before to long. I really like them but there is something about it just being us two that I really enjoy. I also don’t have to worry about when I use the treadmill. Bonus!
I have my long run tomorrow instead of Saturday. We will see how that goes…
Yoga Meltdown Down. It was hard but good.
I am finally getting used to upping my calories and feeling like it is okay. My body needs calories. It is hard though when tons of diet peoples say to eat 1200 calories and I will lose weight. Well they are wrong and do not know my body.
I am horrible at thinking up titles.
I had a pretty good day. After my little freak out this morning. Sometimes I need a little reassuring that I am doing this correctly and you guys really know your stuff :] So much better than Mr. T (the hubby)!
After work tonight I did a 20 minute Yoga Session and I ran 2.0 miles outside. I burned 346 Calories today and I ate 1892. I believe this is right on track.
So with all this running outside I really need to get some Pepper Spray or something of that sort. During my run tonight I was beginning to freak myself out with everything that “could” happen and there I was with no Pepper Spray or Phone. With every sound I was on edge. That is the last time I will do that.
It went pretty well today. I worked at the Day Care and those 11 hour shifts really wear me out!
As I was at work today I was thinking about doing my workout tonight. I began to look forward to it. For the first time working out has turned into a hobby. It is no longer something I do to get in shape. I do it because I like to do. Are there still going be days that I dread it? Sure. Are there going be days that I procrastinate it like no ones business? Sure there is. But that does not mean that I do not enjoy it most days and the number of days I dread it are becoming less and less. This is a good feeling.
I just finished my Yoga. So I burned 167 calories doing that and I ate a total of 1627.
I ate right where I should be but I still felt like I ate to much and I was beginning to feel guilty. In all reality I could have eaten more and it would not have been bad at all. I need to have a healthy relationship with food. I will get there with time.
Monday: 2.5 Miles
Wednesday: 2 Miles and Yoga
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 4 Miles
So there it is my goals for the week. Lets see how it goes…
