Training Update

It has been a long time since I have updated you. I have super busy lately. Just getting out and enjoying life and that is what is important.

I may have been neglecting the blog but I have not been neglecting my training. Once I did my long run of 20 miles. I can smell the end of training and it made me feel so much better about my training.

Monday: I made it back to BodyPump. I have been working on going once a week and it is really working out for me. I believe my body likes it. Sometimes it is just hard to make it because it is an hour long and I like to be home with the hubs at night. But no one said this was going to be easy.

Tuesday: I hit the bike at the gym. I went for 7 miles in 35 minutes. I have been doing the bike once a week and I have come to love riding the bike.

Wednesday: I ran three miles. My Garmin’s battery decided to give out halfway though the run. So I do not know anything about the run besides the fact that I finished :]

Thursday: I did another three miles. This time I have been my Garmin charged. I did 3.1 miles in 30 minutes with negative splits.

Friday is my normal rest day

Saturday, I went to BodyFlow. It felt really good. Then we went to the State Fair! We walked for at least three hours. We also ate a lot but that is not important ;] Here we are enjoying the sites!

Sunday: I ran five miles. Who would have ever thought that five miles would be easy to be :] It was a nice five miles with negative splits once again (for the most part)! They were 10:24, 10:25, 10:10, 10:19, and 10:01 with an average pace of 10:16.

I have 22 miles on the schedule for next weekend. I am still trying to figure out the best day for this. It all depends on which day is going to be the coolest. I will be sure to let you know how that goes!

What I wore to BodyPump

It has been a long time since I made it to BodyPump. I went back tonight and it felt good to be back. I like to see what other people to wear when they work out. So I thought I would show you what I wear when I work out. Here is what I wore to BodyPump…

Tank: Forever 21. I really like this tank. I had no idea they had workout gear.

Bra: Old Navy

Pants: Marika. They was a Groupon a while back that I used. They are supposed to be body shaping which I have never noticed but I still like them!

Shoes: Nike Structure 15. My last pear of running shoes. I currently wear this for cross training.

Say It Do It Sunday and life updates

I did not get all my runs in this week :( Sadly I did something to my back during Yoga yesterday and I hurt too bad to run today. So I will try again next week. Luckily I somehow have two extra weeks in my half marathon training plan. It’s all good.

Everyone came over for the big party today. It was really nice but the race never got going. Stupid rain. That will not stop us from having fun. Last week I registered for a Mud Run here in the twin cities area. The Go Commando race. I am running it with my sisters and mom. So we hashed out some details today :) So excited for that! We are making T shirts but we need a team name. Any ideas? I am leaning towards “The Dirty Divas.”

We also decided that I am going to quit one of my jobs this week. The daycare is going bye bye. i love my co workers and the children but my boss is crazy. My sanity is not worth the little money I make there. I am going to look for another part time job. I hope something comes up but if not we will be just fine. I have more time to go workout this week since my “awesome” boss gave me six hours of work this week. So that is kinda nice. Enough rambling about random random. Here is what I hope to accomplish this week.

Monday: Zumba
Tuesday: 3 miles and BodyPump
Wednesday: BodyFlow
Thursday: 4 or 5 miles
Friday: BodyPump
Saturday: 3 miles and BodyFlow
Sunday: Rest Day

As always this is subject to change. As of right now I am supposed to go to an in service for the daycare. But I am hoping that once I quit I will not have to go.

Have a great week!

Say it Do It #6

Like I said before I managed to be spot on last week. I am going to shoot for that again this week.

Monday: 3 miles

Tuesday: BodyPump

Wednesday: 3 Miles

Thursday: BodyPump

Friday: Rest Day

Saturday: 5 Miles

Sunday: Yoga.

Now that I think about it. I already had a hiccup in todays workout. So many things went wrong as I was trying to get to they gym that I ran out of time. I was only able to get 2.4 miles in. Such is life. I am planning on making it up on Wednesdays run.

I am also thinking I may want to go to BodyFlow after my run on Saturday instead of Yoga on Sunday. I really enjoy the class and it is not offered on Sunday. But we will see how I feel on Saturday.

Make it a Great week Everyone!!

Ipad2’s and Randomness

They came yesterday! We have been waiting for these babies. They came yesterday. So I got home and all we did was play with these babies. We had pizza for supper because we did not want to waste time cooking. It is actually quite sad. Luckily I worked out before work so I did not have to worry about that. I am embarrassed to say I planned it that way.

On other news I have gotten all my workouts for the week in so far. The real challenge is going to be tomorrow when I have to be up at 4:30 to start Bodypump at 5. I will be finished at 6:05 and need to leave for work at 6:25. It is gonna be a challenge but I can get it done. I plan on packing everything tonight and being in bed by 9:30. I am looking forward to tomorrow to be over with.

I just registered for the Get Lucky 7k. Super excited about this race. It will be ran with friends and it is done by my favorite race organization which I will score a sweet hoodie. I am gonna try to pick up my packet this weekend even though the race is not until St. Patrick’s day. It is never to early in my book :)

November Favorites

So here is my monthly list of my favorites.

1. Fall in Wisconsin. The weather has been amazing this November and I loved it. It was perfect weather running 50s and 40s who can complain. It is just want I needed to keep me excited about running.

2. My gym. Before I joined the gym it was almost impossible for me to run on the treadmill. My treadmill is in the basement facing a cement wall. It was just really hard to run on that. No good. I just wanted to give up. Lately, I really like running on the treadmills at the gym at about 5:30am and watching the news. It is the perfect way to start the day.

3. BodyPump. This month I have started going to a BumpPump class and I am in love. I really love how much stronger I am feeling. I have been looking for a way to get strength in my routine and this is the prefect way. There is something about working with weights that I really enjoy. It is nice to know that I have the correct form as well. I also feel like it has also improved my running ability. Whats not to love?!?

4. My Hubs. I know this goes without saying but I am so thankful for him. He puts up with me and never complains. He has a very active job and has no desire or need to workout after work. I know I leave him quite often at night to go workout. I am so thankful for all the support he provides me. It makes it so much easier for me to get out there. I know some people do not have a good support system and it makes it really really hard to stay motivated. I am so thankful I do not have that problem.

5. C9 BabyDoll Tank. I was in Target a little over a month ago and these were on sale for $5 so I picked up two of them. I wear them all the time when I work out. I like that there is an extra bit of support in there and they wick the sweat like no ones business. I also really enjoy the fact that they fit lose. I do not need to adjust anything when I am working out. I will definitely picking some up in the Spring if they continue to make them and you should too!

That is all. What were your favorite things in November??

The Week Ahead

Here is what I am hoping to accomplish during this week!

Monday. Rest Day. I went out for supper with a friend. It kinda bothered me for a while that I did not go to Zumba. But I just had to remember that I started working out to make my life better not to become my life. My relationships are more important than burning some calories. There will always be another time for me to work out.

Tuesday: BodyPump

Wednesday: Run 4 miles. It will most likely be on the Treadmill because it is supposed to rain and maybe even snow. Oh, let the fun start ;]

Thursday: BodyPump

Friday: Rest Day or Zumba

Saturday: 5k. Local Turkey Trot. I am looking for ward to this 5k. It should be a nice little run. The gym that I belong to is putting it on. They have a race every month from October to April. It only costs $20 to run all of them. You can’t beat that!

Sunday: I am gonna shoot for 45 minutes of some Cardio, Bike, Ellipticial or Tradmill. I have yet to decide…

Post Half Exercise

I had a pretty good week full of workouts except for a couple of my runs. But that is completely understandable because my legs were sore from Saturday’s Half Marathon.

Monday: Zumba. I love this Monday night Zumba class. I love the people that go to the class and I love the Instructor. I wish she taught Zumba on other nights.

Tuesday. 3 Miles. I wanted to run for three miles but my legs just were not feeling it. So I walked for a mile, ran for a mile and went 1.5 miles on the elliptical. It was a nice cardio workout.

Wednesday. BodyPump. It was my first BodyPump class and I loved it. I felt like I got a great srength workout in. I was so sore after the class but that is to be expected.

Thursday: 3 Miles. I stuck to the elliptical again. I did not want to push my body before it was ready.

Friday: Rest Day.

Saturday: AquaZumba. It was a good class. I was the youngest person there by 25 years but I did not mind. There was also a couple of grouchy old lady’s in that class. But that did not stop me from dancing my happy little heart away! It was nice work out. I wanted to get something in that was not too hard on my body in preparation for the next days run.

Sunday. 5 Miles. I orginally wanted to do this outside but it was super windy. Like 40 mile an hr gusts. So I stuck to the treadmill. Around mile 2 the battery on my Garmin died:[ Up until that point I was keeping it at just under a 10 minute pace. So I just kept going with that pace for 50 minutes. And I believe I got my 5 miles in.

All in all it was a good week for me exercise wise. I am looking forward to next week when I incorparote more BodyPump and I run a local 5k. It will be right here in my hometown. I have never ran a race here. It would be nice if I could meet some local folk :] I will post more on those plans hopefully tomorrow.

I hope everyone else had a good week exercise wise!

lifeisfunner has no plan.

So I do not have races or such to train for. I need to figure that out ASAP! I am afraid without anything my running may suffer. Trust me I have been looking but there are not many races going on in Wisconsin/Minnesota during the winter months. I am on the look out…

I am going to try my best to keep going like I was. So this week is looking like…

Monday: Zumba

Tuesday: 3 miles

Wednesday: BodyPump (time to incoporate some strength)

Thursday: 3 miles

Friday: Rest Day

Saturday: 5 miles

So that is it. I am feeling really good today. Last night I was kinda freaking out because I was super sore. Like I could barely move. Everytime I bent my knee I was in unbearable pain but luckily when I woke up this morning it was leaps better.

I will get the half marathon recap up once my sister emails me some pictures. Hopefully tomorrow!
